Samaritan Counseling Center

The Samaritan Counseling Center provides a unique, professional integration of psychotherapy and spirituality. Counselors are trained and experienced to work with individuals of all ages in family therapy, marriage counseling and enrichment, divorce counseling, grief support, spiritual direction, and brief and long-term psychotherapy. They have offices in Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston, and Lake Forest. A standard fee is charged for services, though adjustments can be made on the basis of financial need. Many insurance and managed care plans cover some of the cost of counseling.

Family Service Center

The family is the basic unit of well-being. The Family Service Center believes that families have the resources to adequately respond to life's challenges. So their job is not to do for, but to facilitate the efforts of individuals and their families to more effectively resolve the problems in their lives and improve their ability to respond to events.

Family Service Center offers individual, couples, and family therapy for a wide range of emotional, relationship, and substance abuse problems. The staff of highly experienced mental health professionals provides up to date, affordable, and quality care at three convenient locations. The Center also offers a range of community and professional educational programs throughout the year.

Family Service Center was recently honored by the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette for its outstanding individual and community support. Executive Director, Dr. Robert Noone, is a regular speaker at Men’s Council and Adult Formation.

The Josselyn Center

Problems of an emotional nature are common yet often misunderstood in today's society. Yet individuals and families everywhere are often touched by mental illness in some way. The Josselyn Center provides a confidential, supportive environment where these issues can be understood and treated effectively. The focus is on treating the whole person and providing support for the family when necessary. The Josselyn Center provides the highest quality interdisciplinary mental health, substance abuse, and related services for children, adolescents, adults and families regardless of ability to pay. This means fees are established on a scale that considers family income and ability to pay. The Josselyn Center also assists organizations, corporations, and the community at large.

First Presbyterian Church Evanston Counseling Center

In times of crisis or emotional distress from the loss of a loved one or meaning in life, substance abuse, unfortunate tragedies, job stress, parenting problems, or tensions in marriage or family relationships, the Counseling Center of the First Presbyterian Church of Evanston can help.

The Counseling Center promotes psychological and spiritual health and wellness through accessible, highly experienced counseling, education, and skill-building services. The licensed therapists are committed Christians and sensitive to Christian faith and values in helping people heal and improve quality of life. By integrating spiritual and religious beliefs, therapy sessions hold more personal meaning, and the results are more effective and sustainable. Services are available for individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families with a variety of personal, relational, and spiritual issues.
