The Rev. Sarah Sarchet Butter has served as pastor and head of staff
since 2002. Ordained in 1992 in the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA), she
has more than 18 years of ministry experience, which includes serving
on the pastoral staff of Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati,
Ohio, and the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago, Illinois. She holds
a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and an
MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
As a pastor, Sarah loves connecting people to God’s presence in their
lives and discerning the movements of the Holy Spirit. She has a passion
for ministry and pastoral leadership and an understanding what makes churches
grow and thrive as the body of Christ. Sarah cherishes her marriage to
John Butter, MD, and their daughters, Elizabeth and Caroline. She loves
conversation, cooking, skiing in the winter, the Botanic Gardens all year
round, music, travel, fine (and not-so-fine) wine, and dining with family
and friends.
